Hi, name is Tania Mitchell. I’ve joined the Kommetjie CAN Community with the intent to build bridges by sharing resources amongst our communities. Our Community Closet is dedicated to keeping everyone warm and dry this winter. I’m proud to be apart of a hard working and committed team. This is just the beginning and I look forward to what we can accomplish together.
I believe in making the world a better place. I’m passionate about doing what I can to make a difference wherever I can.
I wanted to help where I could …
I’m involved in CAN because so much more can be achieved when we work together. It’s such a great opportunity to connect with people doing amazing work in the valley.
I saw a need for distribution of masks on the economically challenged areas in the Valley. Due to my job disappearing due to the virus I finally had time on my hands to try to make a difference. “We can change the world and make it a better place. It is in your hands to make a difference.” Nelson Mandela.

As a Homoeopath I feel that service in community is paramount. I feel my particular involvement with CAN is to encourage gratitude and up lift with positive communication to calm the nervous system of our village.

I have been running detective and environmental clubs out of my parents garage since I was 7 years old. This CAN movement is just what I have been waiting for to get my adult fix for community action solidly embedded into my life. If not now, when will we create the kind of courageous change that we owe our ancestors, our selves and future generations!
I saw a need and had the energy, privilege and support to help.
I joined the CAN because I love working in a supportive team for a common purpose in the wider community. I'm gaining so much from being part of the CAN.
